Indiana Pacers guard Malcolm Brogdon announced he has tested positive for COVID-19.

"I recently tested positive for the COVID virus and am currently in quarantine," he said in a statement. "I'm doing well, feeling well, and progressing well.

"I plan to join my teammates in Orlando for the resumption of the NBA season and playoffs."

Brogdon is not the only NBA player who has contracted the coronavirus in recent days. Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic also reportedly tested positive in his native Serbia, while two unnamed Phoenix Suns players apparently received positive tests.

Teams participating in the resumed season at the Walt Disney World Resort began testing their players Tuesday and are bracing for multiple positive tests, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported. One Western Conference playoff team apparently received four positive results in recent weeks.

The Pacers, Suns, and Nuggets are three of the 22 teams that will compete in the Association's season restart in Orlando next month.

However, multiple players and executives have reportedly voiced their concerns about resuming the season in Florida due to the state's spike in coronavirus cases.
