Utah Jazz forward Bojan Bogdanovic will undergo season-ending surgery on his right wrist, the team announced Monday.
He's expected to fully recover for the start of the 2020-21 campaign.
The 31-year-old initially suffered the injury late in 2019 and played in considerable discomfort, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Bogdanovic was one of the top sharpshooters available this past summer, signing a four-year, $73-million deal with the Jazz.
In his first season with the club, Bogdanovic recorded a career-high 20.2 points per contest while connecting at a 41.4% clip from distance. He's currently one of two players averaging 20-plus points, shooting 40% or more on 3-pointers, and making 90% of their attempts from the charity stripe, according to ESPN Stats & Info.
Utah sits fourth in the Western Conference with a 41-23 record.
