Shaq responds to Draymond: He wouldn't be a factor against me in any era

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green recently said that he and Stephen Curry would've "destroyed" Shaquille O'Neal in the pick-and-roll if they'd faced off in today's era of basketball.

O'Neal strongly refuted Green's comments Friday during an appearance on "SiriusXM NBA Radio."

"Ok, so in this era, Draymond wouldn't have been in the game for them to be in a pick-and-roll because he would've got three quick fouls," O'Neal said. "Now, let's take it back to our era. We wouldn't even be playing (the Warriors) because they'd be the six or seventh seed (in the Western Conference).

"You had (the Los Angeles Lakers), you got San Antonio, Sacramento, you had (Kevin Garnett), you had Utah, you had Portland. They wouldn't have been a factor."

If such a hypothetical situation did happen, though, O'Neal is confident that his Lakers of the early 2000s would've put the clamps on Curry.

"We would've trapped Stephen, forced him to shoot or if Steph would've got away, I would have told (former teammate Derek Fisher), 'You know what? Steph's getting too hot. Let him drive to the basket.' And I would've touched his ass up two or three times, and he wouldn't have came back in there.

"Listen, Draymond does have G14 classification, but stop it Mr. Draymond. You're too little, way too little. Cut it out."

O'Neal isn't the only NBA legend that Green has gotten into a war of words with. In March, the Michigan State product questioned Charles Barkley's knowledge of the game and claimed he could do his job as an analyst for TNT.

Like Shaq, Barkley responded with a jab of his own, comparing Green to "the least important member" in a boy band.
