MLB's most valuable: Yankees top list, Marlins only club worth under $1B

The New York Yankees remain Major League Baseball's most valuable team, according to Forbes' annual valuation of major-league clubs.

The Yankees claimed the top spot for the 23rd consecutive year with a valuation of $5 billion and were followed by the Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, and San Francisco Giants, respectively.

Forbes estimates the Yankees saw a 9% increase in value, while the average MLB team is worth $1.85 billion, up 4% from 2019. The 4% growth is the smallest year-over-year increase since 2010, when the average value of an MLB club increased by 2%.
