LeBron James gifted Akron, Ohio a special Taco Tuesday this week.

The Los Angeles Lakers star, who was born in Akron, connected with a local restaurant in the city through his LeBron James Family Foundation to feed 340 students and their families at the I Promise School, according to USA TODAY's Jeff Zillgitt.

The food supplied was enough to potentially feed over 1,300 people.

Nick Corpas, the co-owner of the restaurant James requested, told Zillgitt he and his staff spent approximately 10 hours on Monday preparing chicken and beef tacos with several different toppings. Volunteers with James' organization then delivered the tacos to families across the city.

James intends to do the same next Tuesday for more families connected to his I Promise program, Zillgitt adds.

Gov. Mike DeWine ordered all Ohio schools, including the I Promise School, to close in an effort to combat the spread of the coronavirus. Restaurants are permitted to serve only carry-out and delivery orders.

Of course, James also made sure to celebrate the weekly event while at home.
