Suns' Jerome representing team in NBA 2K game vs. Timberwolves
Ty Jerome is out to prove his basketball talents aren't limited to the actual hardwood.
The Phoenix Suns point guard will represent his squad in its NBA 2K20 matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the team announced Wednesday.
Following the suspension of the NBA season due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Suns announced they would play their remaining 17 regular-season games on NBA 2K and stream the contests on Twitch.
Wednesday's tilt will mark the first time a player on the Suns' roster represents the team as part of this initiative. 2K League player Antonio "UniversalPhenom" Salvidar represented Phoenix in its first streamed 2K game against the Dallas Mavericks last Friday. The Suns lost that contest 150-136 during a broadcast that drew over 12,500 viewers at one point.
Click here to watch Jerome put his talents to the test at 9 p.m. ET as he looks to lift the Suns' virtual record to 1-1.
