Boston Celtics swingman Jaylen Brown will likely be reassessed in one week after suffering a right hamstring strain during Tuesday's overtime loss to the Brooklyn Nets, head coach Brad Stevens said Wednesday.

Brown sustained the injury at some point late in the fourth quarter. The 23-year-old left with 10.4 seconds remaining in regulation and did not return for the extra frame.

The Celtics are currently dealing with a number of injuries to their core players. Gordon Hayward is day-to-day after suffering a right knee contusion against Brooklyn, and Kemba Walker will miss Wednesday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers as part of his recovery from a knee injury that sidelined him for five contests.

Forward Jayson Tatum, who missed Tuesday's tilt due to illness, will play against Cleveland, Stevens said.

The injuries come at a tough time for the Celtics, who are currently 1 1/2 games back of the Toronto Raptors for second in the Eastern Conference. After visiting the Cavaliers on Wednesday, the Celtics will host the Utah Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder before traveling to face the Indiana Pacers and league-leading Milwaukee Bucks - all within an eight-day span.

Brown, a former third overall pick, is averaging 20.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in 34 minutes per game in his fourth NBA season. He's also shooting 38.1% from deep.
