The NBA announced the rosters for Team USA and Team World on Friday ahead of the Rising Stars Challenge at All-Star Weekend in Chicago.

The event, which takes place Feb. 14, features 20 of the league's top rookies and sophomores. NBA assistant coaches selected the teams.

New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson and Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant headline the Team USA roster.

Wendell Carter Jr. won't participate in the game because of an ankle sprain, the Chicago Bulls announced. The second-year center is expected to return from his injury sometime after the break. Williamson was selected as Carter's injury replacement.

Gilgeous-Alexander is one of four Canadians on the roster, joining Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke, Pelicans guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker, and New York Knicks rookie RJ Barrett.

Luka Doncic's status for the contest is uncertain at this time. The second-year suffered a right ankle sprain, an MRI reportedly confirmed Friday.

The Grizzlies and Charlotte Hornets will be the most well-represented clubs in the game, with three players from each organization partaking.
