The date of Dwyane Wade's jersey retirement ceremony in Miami is now official.

The Heat announced plans to honor the future Hall of Fame shooting guard with three days of festivities - dubbed the "L3gacy Celebration" - from Feb. 21-23 at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Those festivities will kick off Friday night with an event titled "The Flashback," which aims to "honor Wade's impact on NBA basketball, the Miami Heat, and the South Florida community." That gathering will be exclusive to Heat season-ticket holders.

Day 2 will see Wade's No. 3 jersey raised to the AmericanAirlines Arena rafters at halftime of Miami's Feb. 22 game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The plans will then conclude the following afternoon with a screening of Wade's new feature-length documentary that focuses on his life as an NBA star, both on and off the court. Wade will also speak to those in attendance.

Tickets for the screening will be available to the public, starting at $3, with all proceeds going to the Wade's World Foundation charity.

Wade, who retired last season, was a three-time champion with the Heat and was named Finals MVP in 2006. He also racked up 13 All-Star appearances and was the league's scoring champion in 2009.
