Fox will miss another two-to-three weeks at minimum due to the left ankle sprain he suffered during a team practice on Nov. 11, the Kings announced. He will then be re-evaluated in order to narrow down a return date.
The Kings guard was initially given a three-to-four-week timeline before being re-evaluated. Monday was the three-week mark in Fox's recovery, meaning the 21-year-old's absence could extend for a total of six consecutive weeks.
Fox played in nine games this season prior to the injury and was averaging personal bests in points (18.2) and rebounds (four). He was also recording seven assists per game in 32 minutes per contest.
However, the Kings could receive better news on the injury front soon. Sophomore forward Marvin Bagley III, who fractured his thumb in Sacramento's opening night loss to the Phoenix Suns, will be re-evaluated at the end of the week. Bagley has missed 17 games over a six-week stretch.
