Draymond battling ligament issue in finger, out vs. Hornets
Things continue to go from bad to worse for the Golden State Warriors.
Just days after it was announced Stephen Curry will be sidelined for three months with a broken hand, Draymond Green revealed he's dealing with a ligament issue in his left hand that affected him during Friday's game, and he's unsure about missing time.
"I hurt my finger. A little ligament action," Green told reporters, including The Athletic's Anthony Slater. "It is what it is. It's pretty sore. I couldn't grip the ball the entire second quarter."
Green was subsequently ruled out for Saturday's game against the Charlotte Hornets.
Despite the injury, Green still played a team-high 34:26 on Friday, but he only recorded six points on 2-of-7 shooting during a loss to the San Antonio Spurs.
The Warriors, also playing without five-time All-Star Klay Thompson, are off to a 1-4 start.
