Los Angeles Clippers forward Paul George will miss both training camp and the start of the NBA season and is hoping for a "November-ish" return to action as he recovers from offseason shoulder surgery, he told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne on Sunday.

During the Clippers' media day Sunday, George told NBA TV he was at "85-90ish" percent in his progress but didn't mention an extended absence.

George underwent the procedure to repair a labrum tear in his left shoulder in June when he was still a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder. The issue appeared to bother the six-time All-Star during the 2018-19 playoffs when he shot under 32 percent from beyond the arc in five games.

The Clippers open the regular season Oct. 22 against their Staples Center roommates, the Los Angeles Lakers.
