Report: Simmons' contract has 15 percent trade kicker, no option

Ben Simmons' new five-year, $170-million contract extension with the Philadelphia 76ers features a 15 percent trade kicker and no final-year option, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Simmons also has Designated Rookie Extension language in the deal that would increase compensation if he's named to one of the All-NBA teams for the 2019-20 campaign, according to Wojnarowski.

Trade kickers represent extra money a player can receive if he's traded during the life of a contract. Anthony Davis reportedly waived his recently after being dealt to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Simmons' deal takes effect in 2020-21, with its first season valued at $29.2 million.
