Amar'e Stoudemire has some unfinished business.
The veteran big man has been out of the NBA since the 2015-16 season but believes he can still be a valuable contributor to any team - especially as a mentor.
"A lot of teams have a lot of young players and a lot of the players need to learn how to train, how to become professionals, (and) how to become great basketball players," the 36-year-old told MSG Networks on Tuesday. "And veteran leadership goes a long way with teams in order to get from a playoff team to a contending championship team.
"From that standpoint, I have a lot to offer."
Stoudemire and longtime NBA guard Monta Ellis held a private workout Monday in Las Vegas. Representatives from 12 NBA teams reportedly attended to watch the duo.
"I still have a lot of game left, I still have a lot of health," added Stoudemire. "I can help a team in any way that they need."
The six-time All-Star has played in Israel and the BIG3 since his last NBA stint. Stoudamire is averaging 22 points and 8.3 boards across three appearances for Tri-State in the BIG3 this season.
