Report: Thunder inking guard Alec Burks
The Oklahoma City Thunder are signing guard Alec Burks, a league source told ESPN's Royce Young.
Prior to this past season, Burks had spent his entire career with the Utah Jazz after the club selected him 12th overall in the 2011 NBA Draft.
The 27-year-old averaged 8.4 points on 40.5 percent shooting across 64 appearances in 2018-19, playing for the Jazz, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Sacramento Kings.
Burks shot 36.3 percent from distance and will add some much-needed shooting to a Thunder squad that ranked in the bottom third of the league in three-point percentage last season.
After averaging a career-high 14 points per game during the 2013-14 season, Burks has struggled to remain healthy and hasn't played more than 64 regular-season games in a single campaign.
