In an attempt to further entice Kevin Durant, the Brooklyn Nets are exploring the feasibility of signing his close friend DeAndre Jordan, sources told Marc Stein of The New York Times.
The club hopes that inking the veteran center along with All-Star guard Kyrie Irving will make Brooklyn more appealing to Durant, adds Stein.
Jordan is an unrestricted free agent. He was acquired midseason by the New York Knicks from the Dallas Mavericks in the Kristaps Porzingis blockbuster deal. Jordan averaged 10.9 points and 11.4 boards per contest across 19 appearances for the Knicks.
The 30-year-old led the Association in rebounding during the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons and has three career All-NBA selections.
