USA Basketball announces 20-player pool ahead of 2019 World Cup
USA Basketball has named the 20 players who will attend training camp Aug. 5-9 ahead of the FIBA Basketball World Cup in China.
Fourteen of the players were previously included for consideration in the 2018-20 international competition window and they're joined by six new additions.

Kuzma, Lopez, Millsap, Mitchell, Tatum, and Tucker are the six new additions to the training camp roster. All but Mitchell are frontcourt players, and USA Basketball's biggest relative weakness heading into China is frontcourt depth.
From the pool, national team head coach Gregg Popovich and his staff will select 12 players for the final roster.
The U.S. is the two-time reigning champion, having captured gold at the FIBA World Cup (previously known as the World Championship) in 2010 and 2014.
