The Washington Wizards are expected to sign Gary Payton Jr. to a 10-day contract Monday, a source told ESPN's Marc Spears.
Payton has spent this season with the G League's Rio Grande Vipers, averaging 19.2 points, 8.2 boards, 6.6 assists, and 3.4 steals per game.
The 6-foot-3 guard split the 2017-18 season with the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers, averaging 3.0 points per contest in 23 games played.
The Wizards (19-26) sit 10th in the Eastern Conference - three games back of a playoff spot - entering Sunday's play.
