Pacers' Oladipo out indefinitely with knee injury
Indiana Pacers guard Victor Oladipo will be out indefinitely with a sore right knee, the team announced Friday.
However, the 26-year-old is expected to return in the "near future" and there are no structural issues with his knee, league sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Oladipo had X-rays last week, which were negative. He took part in a four-on-four workout yesterday but "just didn't feel right," head coach Nate McMillan said.
"We're going to take that title of day to day off and allow him to take as much time as he needs to get himself healthy."
Oladipo suffered the injury on Nov. 17 against the Atlanta Hawks and has missed the last six games.
The guard had a breakout 2017-18 season and made his first All-Star appearance. He averaged 23.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2.4 steals per game.
Through 16 contests this season, Oladipo leads the team in scoring (21.4 points per game) on 44 percent shooting from the field.
