Los Angeles Lakers president Magic Johnson insists Luke Walton's position as head coach is safe for the time being, despite recent reports.
"He is going to finish the season, unless something drastic happens, which it won't," said Johnson, according to Bill Plaschke of the Los Angeles Times.
A report surfaced earlier this week that Johnson "admonished" Walton after the Lakers started the season 2-5.
Los Angeles went on to win its next two games before heading into a matchup with the Toronto Raptors on Sunday.
Heading into Sunday's game, the Lakers sit 11th in the Western Conference. Having signed LeBron James in free agency, they're trying to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2013.
