Matt Barnes hopes to put the Kobe Bryant flinch controversy to rest once and for all.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, Barnes confirmed that, despite what a new overhead camera shot appears to show, he did fake the ball directly at Bryant's face during a 2010 regular-season game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Orlando Magic.

"As far as I know, that s--- went in his face and he didn't flinch," Barnes said. "I thought that was a dead story."

Bryant also responded to the controversy, telling NBA writer Chris Palmer on Tuesday, "You gotta remember I was swaying. He did it and I didn't balk."
