Report: Ginobili seriously considering retirement
San Antonio Spurs legend Manu Ginobili is reportedly seriously considering retirement and will soon sit with long-time head coach Gregg Popovich to discuss a final decision, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Ginobili, 41, has been reportedly working out regularly at the Spurs' facility ahead of training camp but has yet to commit to a return for what would be the 17th NBA season of his Hall of Fame career.
The Spurs lost Tony Parker to the Charlotte Hornets this offseason, leaving Ginobili as the remaining member of the long-time trio of Parker, Ginobili, and Tim Duncan. The three stars played 14 seasons together, finishing with four championships.
Ginobili's list of NBA and international accomplishments also include being a two-time NBA All-Star, two-time All-NBA selection, the 2008 Sixth Man of the Year, 2001 EuroLeague champion, and a 2004 Olympic Gold medalist.
The crafty Argentinian can still provide productive minutes if he chooses to return, as he averaged 8.9 points and 2.5 assists in 20 minutes per game last season.
