Donald Trump is firing shots at the King.

The President of the United States took to Twitter late Friday night to chime in on a recent interview conducted by CNN's Don Lemon with new Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.

While Lemon was the target of Trump's disdain at first, the POTUS switched gears by implying the four-time NBA Most Valuable Player is dumb.

Trump then finished his tweet by declaring he prefers Chicago Bulls icon Michael Jordan.

James has been extremely critical of the president since Trump entered office. While talking to Lemon, he accused Trump of using professional sports to divide the country - a reference to Trump saying NFL players should be forced to stand during the national anthem.

In the aftermath of the Charlottesville riots last year, James tweeted that Trump is making hate "fashionable again" after the POTUS downplayed the involvement of white supremacist protesters.

James then called Trump a "bum" on Twitter the following month when he rescinded a White House visit invitation given to the 2017 NBA champion Golden State Warriors - an invitation that was reportedly never extended to begin with.

The All-Star forward just opened his I Promise School for at-risk children in Akron, Ohio, which will provide resources to 240 students, including but not limited to tuition for all who graduate.

Back in 2013, Trump tweeted positive remarks about James, calling him "a great player and a great guy."
