Report: Derrick Rose to re-sign with Wolves on 1-year, $2.4M deal

Derrick Rose has agreed to re-sign with the Minnesota Timberwolves on a one-year, $2.4-million minimum deal, sources told Yahoo's Shams Charania.

Rose signed with the Timberwolves late last season after being bought out at the trade deadline. In nine regular-season games with the team, he averaged 5.8 points and 1.2 assists, shooting 42.6 percent from the field and 16.7 percent from 3-point range.

He had a better showing in the playoffs, averaging 14.2 points and 2.6 assists on .509/.700/.857 shooting in a five-game first-round loss to the Houston Rockets.

Meanwhile, Wolves coach/president Tom Thibodeau's attachment to his former Chicago Bulls players remains exceedingly strong.
