Fans create interactive website selling LeBron on Lakers
Forget billboards, because fans are creating websites in an attempt to lure LeBron James to their teams.
With James set to hit free agency, Lakers fans launched an interactive website - WelcometoSeason16.com - that outlines 16 reasons why he should take his talents to Los Angeles this summer.
Along with touting the Lakers' young core and legacy, the website also highlights the L.A. food and wine scene.
"Season 15 proved some things just get better with age. As the home of some of the world's best fine wines, we appreciate that," the website reads. "Come #EnjoyTheFruitsOfYourLabor in LA and maybe someday we'll be sipping glasses of King's Reserve Chardonnay (guaranteed to be better than D-Wade's cellar)."
The Lakers have long been considered a favorite to land James, though Cleveland Cavaliers general manager Koby Altman said Friday he's had "good dialogue" with the 14-time All-Star's camp.
