TNT announced that Monday's Golden State Warriors-Houston Rockets contest was the most-watched Western Conference finals Game 1 in the network's history.
The 8.8 million viewers who turned in also represented a 38 percent increase over Game 1 of the 2017 Eastern Conference finals on TNT, and a 9 percent increase over Game 1 of the 2017 Western Conference finals on ESPN.
The Warriors' 119-106 win over the Rockets was also the most-watched Game 1 of any Western Conference finals since the Los Angeles Lakers traveled to play the Sacramento Kings in 2002 on NBC.
