The Milwaukee Bucks and Toronto Raptors appear set to fight over Mike Budenholzer.

The former Atlanta Hawks head coach has emerged as the focus of the Bucks' and Raptors' coaching searches, with Toronto preparing to open communications and Milwaukee set to re-engage, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Budenholzer, who mutually parted ways with the Hawks last month, was already considered a front-runner for the Bucks job and is reportedly set to have a second interview with the team Tuesday. That interview will include members of the team's ownership group, according to the Journal Sentinel's Matt Velazquez. The Bucks, who had a 10-day head start after being bounced from the playoffs in the first round, are looking to replace interim head coach Joe Prunty, who took over after Jason Kidd was fired in January.

The Raptors, meanwhile, are just now beginning their search in earnest after firing Dwane Casey on Friday, four days after they were swept out of the second round for the second straight year.

Budenholzer compiled a 213-197 record across five seasons with the Hawks.
