Oklahoma City Thunder swingman Paul George underwent a left knee scope on Wednesday, the team announced.

He'll be able to return to basketball activities in approximately six-to-eight weeks.

George posted a photo of himself in a hospital bed earlier in the day, although the reason behind it wasn't known at the time.

The 28-year-old All-Star averaged 21.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and two steals across 79 appearances this past season with the Thunder, who went on to get bounced in the first round of the playoffs in six games by the Utah Jazz.

George has a player option of $20.7 million for 2018-19, which he'll turn down to hit unrestricted free agency this summer.

That doesn't necessarily mean his days with the Thunder organization are over, as he's spoken highly of the team, city, and its fans on numerous occasions. George has mentioned he'd love to stay but that his future and all decisions pertaining to it will be made in the coming months.
