Stephenson: Cavs will 'start panicking' if they lose Game 4

Lance Stephenson and the Indiana Pacers have never won a playoff series against a LeBron James team in four tries, but there's a feeling among some that this is the spring it could happen.

The Pacers have dominated the Cavs in two of three games so far, and Sunday presents an opportunity to take a 3-1 lead in the series.

Stephenson didn't mind voicing his thoughts on the situation Saturday.

"We have full control right now," he said, via ESPN's Mike Wells. "We have to keep it. We get another win in our building, and that's when I think they're going to start panicking."

Neither Indiana or Stephenson has had any success closing out LeBron. In 2012, the Pacers blew a 2-1 lead against James' Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference semis. In 2014, Stephenson became a punchline for blowing in LeBron's ear during the East finals. Indiana won that game but lost the series. Last season, the Pacers blew a 26-point lead in Game 3 of their first-round series against the Cavaliers, part of a four-game sweep.

This year, it's the Cavs that have choked so far, however. They blew a 17-point lead in Game 3 on Friday, scoring only 33 second-half points. Cleveland has found no consistency beyond James, and the Pacers have stifled them at times with an active, lockdown defense.

"Our goal is to stay together, try to contain LeBron, play team defense," Stephenson said. "That team is a good team. I don't think they're going to get frustrated."

Stephenson is averaging 10 points off the bench in the series.
