Joel Embiid has apparently grown tired of sitting on the sidelines as his Philadelphia 76ers teammates go to war in the NBA playoffs.

Following his team's 113-103 loss to the visiting Miami Heat in Game 2 on Monday night, the All-Star center voiced his frustrations on his Instagram account over not being cleared to compete:

He later explained, though, his post wasn't designed to be some sort of veiled shot at the organization for not letting him play.

"I promised the city the playoffs and I’m not on the court and I may not be on Thursday either. I wish more than anything that I was out there. I just want the green light to play," Embiid told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.

Embiid, who cleared the concussion protocol ahead of Game 2 but was still held out, has been out of action since March 28 after suffering an orbital bone fracture against the New York Knicks. The injury came when he collided with rookie teammate Markelle Fultz.

The best-of-seven series now moves to South Beach for Games 3 and 4 on April 19 and 21, respectively.
