Kerr: Thompson could return Saturday or Sunday
Two members of the Golden State Warriors' All-Star quartet are returning to the lineup Thursday against the Milwaukee Bucks, and a third may be back as soon as this weekend.
Sharpshooter Klay Thompson could be in uniform either Saturday against the Sacramento Kings or Sunday against the Phoenix Suns, head coach Steve Kerr told reporters Thursday, according to The Mercury News' Mark Medina.
Thompson has been sidelined with a fractured right thumb since March 11.
Stephen Curry won't be available for the reigning NBA champions until at least the second round of the playoffs with an MCL sprain. Kevin Durant (rib) and Draymond Green (abdominal contusion, flu), however, are good to go vs. Milwaukee.

Thompson is averaging his fewest points since 2014 at 19.7, but is shooting a career-best 49 percent from the field and 44.3 percent from 3-point range in 66 appearances.
The Warriors entered Thursday with just three wins in their last nine games as a result of numerous injuries. They sit second in the Western Conference with a 54-20 record, and are 6.5 games back of the Houston Rockets for the top seed.
