Report: LeBron defied logic, gained 7 pounds during a single playoff game

LeBron James has built a career out of achieving the unthinkable, but one of his strangest in-game accomplishments appears to border on the impossible.

During his four-year stint with the Miami Heat from 2010-14, James, accompanied by Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, led the club to two NBA championships in the midst of four consecutive Finals appearances. While those feats are hugely impressive, he may have achieved something even more unlikely in one game during the Eastern Conference finals, when he apparently gained a bewildering seven pounds during the single contest alone, according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst.

Though Windhorst doesn't specify when the supposed miracle weight gain happened, his then-teammates say they saw the difference on the scale, and James simply referred to it as "weird as hell."

Needless to say, with the way the human body works, the physical activity required to compete in any playoff series at the NBA level should cause a player to lose weight, not tack it on. So, either something was off about that scale, or this is final confirmation James really just isn't human.
