Former NBAer Glen Davis arrested in Maryland on drug charges
Glen Davis, colloquially known as "Big Baby" during his NBA career, was arrested in February at a Maryland hotel after officers recovered 126 grams of marijuana from his hotel room on Feb. 7, according to court records obtained by Brian Kuebler of ABC2 WMAR Baltimore.
Aberdeen police lieutenant William Reiber told Keubler officers also recovered a briefcase containing $92,164 as well as a ledger filled with language "consistent with someone involved in the sale and distribution of narcotics."
Davis was later indicted on seven counts of drug possession and distribution. He is scheduled to appear in a Maryland courtroom in April.
Davis played for the Boston Celtics, Orlando Magic, and Los Angeles Clippers over an eight-year career in the NBA. As a rookie, he was a member of the Celtics' 2007-08 championship-winning side.
He had recently committed to play in Season 2 of the BIG3 league.
