Report: Curry to play round at Augusta National after tweaking ankle
Stephen Curry's ankle injury doesn't appear to be too serious.
The Golden State Warriors star was still planning to play a round of golf with teammate Klay Thompson at Augusta National on Saturday, league sources told ESPN's Chris Haynes.
After the round, the two guards will reportedly take a private plane back to the Bay Area. The Warriors are off until Tuesday night's game against the Brooklyn Nets at Oracle Arena in Oakland.
Curry left Friday's win over the Atlanta Hawks after tweaking his right ankle and sat out the entire fourth quarter. He rolled it in the first quarter, left the game, then returned before sitting out down the stretch, apparently as a precaution.
"He was limping a little bit," Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said postgame. "He wanted to stay in, but we didn't want to let him stay in there just because (of) the potential to (make it worse)."
Curry has played at Augusta National before, and he seemed pretty eager to try it again, if this Instagram post from Friday afternoon is any indication.
