Not everyone was pleased to hear of Blake Griffin's blockbuster swap.

The Los Angeles Clippers traded their talismanic forward to the Detroit Pistons on Monday, sending shockwaves through the NBA. Matt Barnes, one of Griffin's former teammates in Los Angeles, wasn't impressed by the news of the trade and chided the Clippers for shipping off one of their best players months after re-signing him to a $173-million deal. The retired forward took his displeasure a step further, though, by singling out head coach Doc Rivers as the problem in Los Angeles.

"So you trade this guy after paying this much money..?" Barnes' caption reads. "When everyone in the organization & everyone who's played there knows DOC IS THE PROBLEM!!!"

Barnes played three seasons with the Clippers from 2012-15, with two of those campaigns coming under Rivers' leadership after Los Angeles acquired the head coach from the Boston Celtics in June 2013.

Barnes retired from the NBA in December after 14 seasons.
