Report: Wade takes leave for 'family emergency,' no timetable for return

The Cleveland Cavaliers will look to get back in the win column against the Indiana Pacers without the services of Dwyane Wade, who could end up missing more than just Friday's outing at Quicken Loans Arena.

The veteran guard was excused from Friday morning's shootaround to tend to a personal matter, and was ultimately ruled out against Indiana.

He's reportedly back home in Chicago attending to a "family emergency," a league source told ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

Cleveland general manager Koby Altman informed Wade he can take as much time as he needs away from the team, with no timetable currently in place for his return.

The Pacers are a perfect 3-0 this season against the Cavaliers, who enter this matchup having lost their last two games, and 11 of their last 15.

Wade is averaging 11.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 23.1 minutes per game as a reserve for the struggling 27-19 Cavs.
