Isaiah Thomas appears awfully close to returning to game action and making his long-awaited Cleveland Cavaliers debut.

After participating in a full-court scrimmage with Cleveland's G League affiliate - the Canton Charge - on Thursday, Thomas practiced with the Cavs on Saturday, coach Tyronn Lue told ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

Lue described the practice as mostly a walk-through with "a lot of shooting drills live, full court." Thomas also ran through several of the Cavs' offensive sets while playing 5-on-0 in a halfcourt setting on Sunday.

Thomas has already been ruled out of the Cavs' Christmas Day finals rematch against the Golden State Warriors, but Lue said a Wednesday return against the Sacramento Kings isn't out of the question.

"I'm not sure," Lue said. "Just got to see."

In the meantime, Thomas - who's been sidelined with a hip injury he suffered in last season's playoffs - is looking physically healthy and finishing self alley-oops in the practice gym.
