Joel Embiid hopes Karl-Anthony Towns isn't mad at him.

Following Tuesday's 76ers win over the Timberwolves, Embiid owned opposing center Towns with an Instagram post - after owning him on the court.

"The Process" explained it as just being part of, well, the process.

"I don’t ever start things," Embiid said, according to The Athletic's Rich Hofmann. "I mean, things just come up to me, and I just go with the flow. I just posted the picture. I felt like we got a great win on the road last night. I had a great eurostep."

Embiid explained his term "raising cat", maintaining it wasn't a shot at KAT.

"Maybe he thought it was about him," Embiid said with a dramatic pause. "But yeah, raising cat is basically when we win a game."

When Towns responded on Instagram Tuesday night, Embiid shut him down again with a shot at the franchise player's wonky defense.

"He made a comment and you know they call me 'Tro-el Embiid,' and I don't let things go by," Embiid said. "Off the court, we are friends and stuff. On the court, I want to kick his ass."
