Report: Mbah a Moute expected to miss 2-3 weeks with shoulder injury

Houston Rockets forward Luc Mbah a Moute is set to miss time after suffering a right shoulder injury during Wednesday night's win over the Charlotte Hornets.

Mbah a Moute had an MRI on Thursday, which revealed no significant damage, and the Rockets are hopeful they'll have him back in two-to-three weeks, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

After signing as a free agent in the offseason, Mbah a Moute has been an understated but substantial contributor for the Rockets. His ability to switch and guard multiple positions has helped an elite offensive team become a top-five defensive outfit, and his improved 3-point stroke has allowed him to stay on the floor without compromising the Rockets' spacing.

Though he's averaging a pedestrian 6.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.3 steals in 25 minutes per game, he's been part of some of the NBA's deadliest lineups, and recently posted the highest single-game plus-minus of the millennium.
