The Cleveland Cavaliers' depth continues taking hits.

Iman Shumpert is expected to miss two months after undergoing surgery Friday to repair a small meniscus tear in his left knee, league sources told The Vertical's Shams Charania.

He was originally diagnosed with a knee contusion after experiencing soreness two weeks ago, and was slated to miss up to seven days. Upon re-evaluation this week, however, it was determined he needed surgery.

In addition to the combo guard, the club is without Derrick Rose while he mulls his NBA future, as well as Tristan Thompson (calf injury), and Isaiah Thomas, who's yet to suit up this season due to a hip issue and could return in a few weeks.

Shumpert was starting in place of Rose, and is averaging 4.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists this season. The Cavs will likely rely on Dwyane Wade and Jose Calderon to help LeBron James run the offense as they look to build on their 10-game winning streak.
