Orlando Magic swingman Terrence Ross will be out for a "significant amount of time" after injuring his knee in Wednesday's game, team officials confirmed Thursday to Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel.
Ross suffered a sprained MCL and a non-displaced fracture of his right tibial plateau in the win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. He landed awkwardly after contesting a driving layup by Russell Westbrook.
The 26-year-old Ross has struggled in his second season with the Magic following a five-year stint with the Toronto Raptors. He was demoted from the starting unit after a run of inconsistency, but his shooting ability was a valuable asset for an Orlando squad that's regressing following a fast start.
Ross is averaging nine points and 3.2 rebounds this season while hitting 40.7 percent from the field and 32.9 percent from deep.
