Marcus Morris of the Boston Celtics and Markieff Morris of the Washington Wizards were found not guilty on all counts of aggravated assault, the Maricopa County Superior Court announced Tuesday.

The Morris brothers and two other men had been accused of beating Erik Hood, an old associate of the two from their amateur days, outside a Phoenix gym in 2015. The twins were both playing for the Suns at that time.

While acknowledging that an assault took place, the Morris' defense team denied that either brother had actually been involved in the beating. They also suggested that Hood was attempting to strong-arm the NBA players for a financial settlement.
