Curry wants 'more championships, more fun, more everything for my team'

There's always a fear that complacency might set in with a team as dominant as the Golden State Warriors, but their leader won't allow them to let up.

Even with two championships and two MVPs to his name, Stephen Curry remains determined to accomplish as much as he can for himself and his team while they sit atop the throne.

"Championships are the goal. We’re very much in a 'What have you done for me lately?' society," Curry told Gerald Flores of Complex.

"More championships. More fun. More everything for my team. I understand the work that needs to go into it and I’m ready to take that on again," he continued.

It helps that Curry's personal goal is inherently selfless since he's focused on team success. He could easily return to chasing scoring titles while pulling up from 30-feet out each time down the floor, but Curry's objective is simply to be remembered as a winning player that played the right way.

"I’ve had ideas about it for sure. I want to be known as a winner. I want to be known as a champion," Curry said of his legacy. "Obviously, I’ve accomplished a little bit, but I want to accomplish a lot more.

"I just want to play the right way and get the most out of my talent and impact people along the way to hopefully feel good about themselves and make them feel like they can do whatever they put their mind to."

With four All-Stars in their prime and under contract for at least the next two seasons, the Warriors could easily accumulate more trophies before their run is over. But Curry is doing his best to stay in the moment and not get ahead of himself, since dynamics in the NBA can often change on a dime.

"I live in the moment, man. I know none of this is guaranteed. It sounds cliche, but you have to appreciate every day in this business. Injuries can happen. There’s beef and drama all around the NBA that you really can’t foresee down the road. You’ve really just got to enjoy the process," he said.
