Wall claims he's 'the best 2-way point guard' in NBA

You can never fault John Wall for having a lack of self-confidence, as the 26-year-old thinks quite highly of himself and his skill set on the hardwood.

Approached by Ballslife while working out with the likes of LeBron James and Washington Wizards teammate Kelly Oubre at the University of Miami, Wall dubbed himself "the best two-way point guard player in the league."

In 78 appearances last season for the 49-33 Wizards, Wall ranked sixth at his position in player efficiency rating (23.28), seventh in scoring (23.1), 10th in rebounding (4.2), first in assists (10.7), and first in steals (2.01). He was also named a member of the All-NBA third team for the first time in his career.

Defensively, the four-time All-Star had his shortcomings. Washington gave up 107.3 points per 100 possessions when he was on the floor, with that number dropping to 105.6 points when he sat.

Being the best defender he can possibly be is something Wall is clearly striving to achieve, with former Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant even challenging him to earn himself a spot on the All-Defensive First team, which Wall gladly accepted.

Winning can change perceptions around the league awfully fast, and Wall understands that, saying last month that he "won't stop" until a championship banner is hanging in the rafters at Capital One Arena.
