Two orthopedists who worked for the New Orleans Pelicans and Saints have been fired from both teams, an NFL source told Josh Katzenstein of The Times-Picayune.
Dr. Deryk Jones and Dr. Misty Suri were reportedly let go following their misdiagnosis of Saints cornerback Delvin Breaux's leg injury, which was initially ruled a contusion but was revealed on Monday to be a fractured fibula.
As a result of the initial diagnosis, the Saints were pressuring Breaux to return to the field despite his insistence that he was still experiencing pain.
