'I'm not letting you leave': Lance Stephenson wants PG to stay
Paul George is set on leaving the Indiana Pacers sooner or later.
But George is still on the roster for the time being, and Lance Stephenson isn't letting his longtime teammate go without a fight, pleading on Instagram for George to stay.
"I'm not letting (you) leave bro @ygtrece stay home bro. We did big things let's continue," Stephenson captioned on a photo of himself and George on Wednesday.
Stephenson and George both joined the Pacers in 2010 as rookies. They eventually grew to become pivotal pieces for a championship-caliber roster that twice qualified for the Eastern Conference finals. Stephenson eventually left as a free agent, but realized his mistake and returned to the club last season.
The tender tribute was cut short, however, when Isaiah Thomas interjected. The Boston Celtics are reportedly in the hunt for George, which Thomas might have hinted at in his Instagram comment.
