The Chicago Bulls continue to drive a hard bargain as they listen to offers for Jimmy Butler, but one team with the assets to get a deal done is reportedly feeling the Bulls out.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have reached out and made "preliminary contact" to discuss the parameters of a potential Butler trade, sources told The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowksi.

The Wolves and Bulls were also engaged in Butler trade talks at this time last year, but the negotiations fell apart on NBA draft night.

The Wolves' renewed interest comes in the midst of an apparent feeding frenzy over Butler in the lead-up to Thursday's draft. The Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly trying to pull in a third team in order to make a sensible offer of their own for the All-NBA swingman.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns also have interest, according to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune, and the Boston Celtics are "lurking" with the No. 3 pick in the coming draft, sources told Vincent Goodwill of CSN Chicago.

It's unclear whether the Bulls have had serious talks with either of those teams about a Butler deal, but it's been reported that the Celtics plan to keep dealing after finalizing their trade of the No. 1 pick - in exchange for No. 3 and a 2018 or 2019 first-rounder - to the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday.
