Lonzo Ball is set to work out for the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday for a second time, but he's also considering talking to lottery teams picking after the Lakers in next week's draft, a source told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.

To this point, the Lakers are the only team Ball has spoken to or worked out for, and his father, LaVar, insisted last month that his son wouldn't work out for any other team. But while Lonzo remains hopeful the Lakers will indeed draft him at No. 2 - something executives around the league still expect them to do - he appears open to alternatives after reportedly leaving the team's talent evaluators cold in his first workout.

He still has no plans to speak to the Boston Celtics, who hold the No. 1 pick, the source told Shelburne.

The Philadelphia 76ers, set to pick third next Thursday, have expressed hope that they can arrange a meeting with the UCLA product. Ball has reportedly considered working out for them, and his agent, Harrison Gaines, planned to meet with Sixers general manager Bryan Colangelo before the draft.
