Fresh off elimination, J.R. Smith is thinking about how the Cleveland Cavaliers can come back stronger next year.

It appears he'd welcome a reunion with someone he considers his brother.

Smith liked an Instagram post Tuesday that suggested New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony should join the Cavaliers, who failed to defend their title with Monday's Game 5 loss to the Golden State Warriors.

Smith - who played with Anthony for years on both the Denver Nuggets and Knicks - said last week that the way New York has been treating the 10-time All-Star is "really unfair and unjust," so perhaps a change of scenery would help.

Melo's campaign was marred by incessant trade rumors and shots traded between him and team president Phil Jackson, who's made it crystal clear he wants to move the All-Star. Cleveland was a possible trade destination for Anthony, though the Cavs reportedly rejected an offer involving him ahead of February's trade deadline.

The 33-year-old has two years and $54 million remaining on his contract, which includes a no-trade clause that he'd reportedly waive to go to The Land.

In addition to Melo, the Instagram post indicates that Cleveland should pick up Los Angles Clippers big man and pending unrestricted free agent Blake Griffin.
