Spurs' Parker out for season with ruptured left quadriceps tendon
San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker will miss the remainder of the postseason after suffering a ruptured left quadriceps tendon, the team announced Thursday.
The team has yet to announce a timetable for Parker's return.
The 6-foot-2 guard was carried off the floor during the fourth quarter of Wednesday's victory over the Houston Rockets after his left knee buckled. He finished with 18 points, four assists, three rebounds, and a steal in the 121-96 win.

After enduring an up-and-down regular season, Parker had become one of San Antonio's most dependable players this postseason, averaging 15.9 points, 3.1 assists, and 2.5 rebounds while shooting 52.6 percent from the field and 57.9 percent from distance.
Backups Patty Mills and Dejounte Murray should see extended time at point guard with Parker ruled out for the remainder of the playoffs.
